Twylla and her husband, Drew, have worked in schools on four continents including Africa (Cairo, Egypt), where her recent book, the Power of Bread, takes place. They currently divide their time between the U.S. states of Arkansas and Maine, but are always on the lookout for another adventure.
Wherever Twylla goes, she searches for labyrinths, like in her book Labyrinth Journeys ~ 50 States, 51 Stories. As a Veriditas-certified Advanced Labyrinth Facilitator, she makes presentations about labyrinths, facilitates labyrinth walks and conducts retreats, providing the space and time for people to explore their own journeys. As a former elementary school teacher, Twylla understands the importance of helping children from diverse backgrounds and cultures discover commonalities and practice respect. Reading The Power of Bread to children and facilitating their discussions about its message, is something she is passionate about. When she’s not writing, walking labyrinths, or baking and eating bread, Twylla loves spending time in nature, hopefully with a granchild, or two, or seven. |
